Song for our times - Tragedy and mystery by China Crisis Wednesday, October 08, 2008
Image via WikipediaI went to see China Crisis & OMD last night at the Roundhouse in Camden - I prefer the former, who were the support act, and my wife likes the latter.
Both did superb sets [9 songs from China Crisis in an hour on stage and 20 songs from OMD in 2 hours]. However, one track from China Crisis stood out for me as being particularly apt for the times we are living through. From the chorus of the song "Tragegy and Mystery"
Tragedy and mystery, open your mind and you will see
Your world is changing though you cannot see
and there's no room for secrecy
your world is changing faster everyday
and there's no truth in what they say
